Assam Institute of Management (AIM), Guwahati, (A Govt. of Assam Society), invites applications from eligible and motivated Postgraduates/Research Scholars in Economics, Statistics, Education, Business Administration, Social Sciences or allied disciplines for engagement as Research Assistants in an academic research project for a period of three to six months, commencing from September 2026.

Candidates having a strong academic record, good interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in multiple languageswill be preferred, as the assignment will involve questionnaire-based field surveys and coordination with a team of enumerators. Proficiency in SPSS and MS Excel will be preferred.

The assignment will involve frequent travel outside Guwahati for field-level data collection and supervision.

REMUNERATION

  • 15,000 – Rs. 18,000 per month, depending upon qualification and experience.
  • TA/DA for approved official travel will be provided separately as per applicable norms.

MAXIMUM AGE LIMIT: 30 Years

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The engagement will be purely temporary and project-based.
  • The engagement will be limited to the duration of the academic research project and will not confer any right to regular appointment at Assam Institute of Management.
  • Candidates must be willing to undertake frequent field visits outside Guwahati as required by the project.
  • Candidates with prior experience in field surveys, questionnaire administration, or academic research projects will be given preference.
  • Candidates will be required to produce original documents/certificates for verification at the time of interview.
  • The Institute reserves the right to shortlist and select candidates based on qualifications, experience, and project requirements.
  • The institute reserves the rights to reject all candidates without assigning the reason thereof.
